Austin Macphee - Founder

Founder Austin MacPhee started AM Soccer Club back in 2006, building the club to become widely recognised as Scotland’s best, having graduated 18 pro players, five in the National Programme and three invited on trial with FC Barcelona. The club recently saw its first senior professional players, and players to gain a soccer scholarship in the USA.

Austin’s professional playing career took him from Scotland to USA, Romania and Japan.

He is a UEFA Pro Licence coach, holds a degree in Psychology and English from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and speaks Japanese having studied at Meijo University during his time in Japan as a footballer.

Austin is also the assistant manager at Heart of Midlothian in the Scottish Premiership. He ties this together with his position as assistant coach of the Northern Ireland National Team, where he played a pivotal role in the Nations qualification and subsequent progression to the finals of Euro 2016 in France
