The walking football has been a great addition to our lives, keeping us active and also helping people regain fitness, and in some cases helping people who are recovering from illness or surgery.

Walking Football

AMS deliver a Walking Football Programme within the local community of Cupar, offering two sessions per week to the Over 50s in our community. Walking Football is a variant of regular football but is aimed at keeping people over the age of 50 active and involved through football.

In delivering Walking Football, AMS aim to meet many beneficial objectives that include; investing in the health and fitness of the participants by improving their quality of life and contributing to their longevity and engaging participants in social interaction to reduce isolation.

Through time the Charity has listed 3 active brands to our Walking Football Programme – Recreational Low Intensity Sessions, High Intensity Sessions with a ‘Team’ vision & also an Employability Scheme for Coaches and Referees. Having three strands to the programme allows AMS to develop further the beneficiary of health and wellbeing, by contributing additional hours of practice as well as team experiences playing in friendly matches or tournaments that generate fantastic social value for all players.
