COACH
What attracted you to coaching at AM Soccer Club?
-
I was at Elmwood College and there was a link with the College and AM Soccer. I liked the philosophy on football
What do you feel is the most important aspect of your role as a Coach?
-
Being able to deliver sessions that are purposeful and fun. I am a strong believer that you should learn from every session. Players and coaches. Kids develop better if they are enjoying the environment they are playing in.
What is your favourite AM Soccer Curriculum skill and why?
-
The Pele number 7. It’s a nice skill that can be adapted very easily and help get you out of trouble.
Can you recall your favourite football moment from your life, so far?
-
I have been lucky enough to win a few trophies but my best memory was winning the Welfare Amateur Cup. We were massive underdogs against a team that went on to win the Scottish Cup. Great day and for some boys the only trophy they have won. Great to be part of it.
If you could sit with any person, past or present for dinner and a conversation, who would that person be?
-
Diego Maradona - definitely the G.O.A.T
